Matt Damon’s Good Will Hunting by Lawrence Bender

Lawrence Bender is just a pure genius when it comes to producing films. The crazy things are that Bender wasn’t always into the arts growing up. In fact, he never started to really get interested in them until he was in college. When Lawrence Bender was growing up, his goal was to become a civil engineer. Why he had this goal I do not know. All I know is that great jobs in that field were one of the reasons that Lawrence Bender chose that path. He grew up in a Jewish household that lived in The Bronx, New York City, New York. Just as he planned, he graduated from high school and enrolled at the University of Maine to pursue his degree in civil engineering. He graduated with it four years later.

Bender picked up the activity of dancing while he was in college. In fact, it was an art rather than just an activity. It is what Lawrence Bender truly loved. Because of this, his new goal what to become a professional dancer. He, unfortunately, obtained an injury that permanently sidelined him from his love. This is when Bender entered into the film producing industry.

Bender has produced some really great films over the years, many of which were nominated for specific awards. In fact, some even won. My favorite movie out of all of his films would have to go to Good Will Hunting. I really just fell in love with the whole plot of the movie and how it moves along. I also love Matt Damon so that was another reason why I enjoyed it. Out of the whole movie, the thing that made me like it the most was the challenges that Will Hunting had to overcome to get where he wanted to go. It just really gave me a new perspective at looking at my own life and the things I come across that are challenges.

Another film that I liked of Bender’s was a documentary with Al Gore called An Inconvenient Truth. In the film, Gore goes into great detail on how humans are negatively impacting the planet.
